About

A little about me.

I am from Chandler, Arizona, and I have chased the same question for as long as I can remember. What makes the brain work, and can a machine be taught to do the same? That thread runs through everything I do, from three ASU research labs to the coding bootcamps I founded at the Chandler Sunset Library.

This fall I begin Computer Science at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, most excited by problems at the edge of AI and biology.

A little about me.

Shrinithi Shaurya

I am from Chandler, Arizona, and I have chased the same question for as long as I can remember. What makes the brain work, and can a machine be taught to do the same? That thread runs through everything I do.

It has led me into three ASU research labs, where I build machine learning pipelines on real colorectal cancer patient data at the Biodesign Institute, model neural dynamics with differential equations in the math department, and study protein folding for tumor biomarkers at the College of Health Solutions. Alongside the research, I teach. I founded Aztecs Who Code, grew it into city wide coding bootcamps at the Chandler Sunset Library, and as a National Ambassador for the Mark Cuban Foundation I have helped carry AI literacy across the country. This fall I begin Computer Science at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.

Hobbies

Beyond the code.

When I am not in a lab or writing code, I am usually behind a camera. Photography trained my eye for light, pattern, and composition, the same instincts I lean on when I design a data visualization or frame a research question.
